Issue for tracking progress of a subtask of NLnet grant 2024-12-324:
memory system: main memory and IO devices -- I'm expecting just a big sram to be good enough for simulation of memory, on the fpga we could probably get away with a relatively small sram and put off a dram interface for later. for the IO device, I'm thinking we'd have a simple fixed-frequency uart.

@HaeckseAlex as I mentioned on Zulip:

@Tobias Alexandra Platen (they/them) do you mind if I take "Issue #15 main memory and IO devices"? I need to get enough money that I will have enough time before running out to complete one of the bigger tasks, such as "Issue #8 Create a model of the whole rename/execute/retire control system"

I'm basically at the point where all of the other tasks left are either pretty big, blocked on some other task, or you and cesar are working on them
